Trip Details
The day opens at the breathtaking Bahá’í House of Worship in Wilmette — one of only eight continental Bahá’í temples in the world and a true architectural masterpiece. A guided tour takes you through the stunning structure and its serene surrounding gardens, offering a peaceful and awe-inspiring start to the day. Next, we savor a delicious Italian lunch at Maggiano’s Little Italy, known for its warm hospitality and classic dishes. In the afternoon, we visit the Illinois Holocaust Museum & Education Center for a powerful, docent-led tour that honors the past and inspires a deep commitment to human rights and dignity.
The Illinois Holocaust Museum & Education Center is one of the most significant museums in the country — dedicated to preserving the memory of the Holocaust and using those lessons to combat hatred, prejudice, and indifference today. The docent-led tour brings history to life through powerful personal stories, artifacts, and exhibits that leave a lasting impression. This is more than a museum visit — it’s an experience that challenges and inspires in equal measure, and one that makes this Chicago day trip truly unforgettable.
