Trip Details
The day begins at the International Crane Foundation in Baraboo, where a guided tour takes you through serene habitats and introduces you to the conservation work protecting these elegant, endangered birds. Next, we head to Wisconsin Dells for free time to explore and enjoy lunch at a local restaurant of your choice along the River Walk. In the afternoon, board a boat tour of the Upper Wisconsin River, gliding past towering sandstone cliffs, lush forests, and unique rock formations shaped by centuries of flowing water. The cruise includes two exclusive shore landings: the dramatic Witches Gulch — a passage carved by wind and water — and Stand Rock, the towering sandstone pillar home to the famous dog leap.
What sets this boat tour apart are its two incredible shore landings, included with the cruise. Witches Gulch is a dramatic, spooky walk through a narrow passage carved by wind and water over centuries — an experience that feels truly otherworldly. Stand Rock is a towering pillar of sandstone and the legendary home of the famous dog leap to the top of the rock, one of Wisconsin Dells’ most iconic attractions. You won’t find an afternoon quite like this anywhere else in Wisconsin.
Date: Wednesday, July 15, 2026.
