Where Learning Begins
Our licensed Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten Readiness programs provide children with developmentally appropriate experiences in a hands-on discovery environment — one that encourages children to explore, examine, and solve problems while building the confidence and skills they’ll carry into kindergarten and beyond. Apple Creek YMCA and Neenah-Menasha YMCA offer wrap care for their preschool and pre-k programs. All programs are state-licensed and staffed by trained, caring youth development professionals.

Our Preschool and Pre-K programs vary by location. Here’s a quick overview of what each YMCA offers.
Apple Creek YMCA
Preschool (ages 3–5), Pre-K Readiness (ages 4–5), and Wrap-Around Care through the Play and Learn Center.

Through the Y’s Membership for All assistance program, we also work to ensure quality early learning remains accessible for families who qualify, because every child deserves a strong foundation for the future.
If applying for assistance at a licensed childcare site, please apply to the County/Wisconsin Shares program prior to applying for Membership For All through the Y.
Frequently Asked Questions
Preschool programs serve children ages 3–5 depending on location. Pre-K Readiness programs are for children ages 4–5.
Wrap around care provides licensed child care before and/or after preschool or prek.
Registration is completed online. You’ll need to complete your child’s profile in your online YMCA account before you can register. The profile requires immunization records, physician contact information, and emergency contacts. All questions must be complete before registration is allowed.
YMCA preschool and prek programs are state-licensed and required by law to collect this information. Completing the profile in advance — before registration day — allows you to register immediately when spots open at 6:00 AM.
