Our Gymnastics Programs
We offer gymnastics programs for all ages and ability levels, from first-time participants to competitive athletes. Explore our offerings below and find the right fit for your child.
Recreational Gymnastics Classes
Our recreational gymnastics classes are designed for children of all skill levels, with instruction done in a step-by-step approach so every child can grow at their own pace. Children are grouped by age and skill level, and every class takes place in a safe, positive and encouraging environment. Our instructors challenge each child while making sure gymnastics stays fun — because at the Y, we believe that when kids love what they are doing, they never stop growing.

Tumbling
These classes are held at Apple Creek YMCA, Fox West YMCA, and Heart of the Valley YMCA
Tumbling classes focus on floor-based skills in a fun, progressive learning environment. Participants build strength, flexibility, coordination, and body awareness while developing skills such as rolls, cartwheels, walkovers, handsprings, and more. This program is a great fit for youth who enjoy floor work and for those looking to strengthen skills that complement activities like dance and cheer.

Ninja Quest
Held at Heart of the Valley YMCA
Ninja Quest combines gymnastics, obstacle course challenges, and ninja-style movement into an action-packed program that keeps kids active and engaged. Participants build agility, strength, balance, coordination, and confidence while learning new skills and navigating exciting obstacles. Proper technique and safe use of equipment are emphasized throughout each class, creating a positive environment where every child is encouraged to challenge themselves, make progress, and have fun.

Why Gymnastics at the Y?
Gymnastics builds more than just athletic skill — it develops the whole child. The strength, flexibility, coordination and body awareness that children gain in gymnastics carries over into everything else they do, from other sports to everyday activities. At the Y, our coaches focus on building positive self-esteem alongside physical ability, making sure every child feels capable, supported and proud of their progress. All programs are held at our Heart of the Valley YMCA facility.
